The WTD Revolution in the Self-Service Ticketing Kiosk Sector
It is impossible to speak about World Trade Display without recalling the many design concepts that, over the years, have contributed to reshaping the history of Information Technology. For three decades, the company has relied on its strengths innovation, creativity, and design to clearly differentiate itself in a highly competitive market, becoming a recognized benchmark in the international landscape.
Thanks to the extensive experience gained in its joint-venture factories in the Far East, combined with the ability to develop advanced, efficient, and environmentally conscious digital solutions, the historic Rimini-based company now presents its first Self-Service Ticketing Kiosk, entirely designed and engineered in-house: a solution featuring a completely innovative design, created to meet the needs of modern ticketing and e-payment systems.
The most effective solutions are often those that manage to blend efficiency, ergonomics, and ease of use even in compact spaces. This philosophy drives the design of the main unit, SUMMUW, equipped with a 21.5” to 32” interactive touch screen, ideal for clearly displaying and managing all purchasing, selling, and interactive functions.
The new SUMMUW Self-Service Ticketing Kiosk, fully automated, combines all the functions expected from a modern device with an attractive, meticulously designed structure. Standard components include a QR Code reader, 4K Webcam, Thermal Printer, NFC Card reader, and dedicated POS space, enabling complete operation without requiring additional peripherals.
One of the most innovative aspects of the SUMMUW series is its shipping packaging, engineered to drastically reduce volume and optimize logistics costs. The kiosk can be shipped in two separate modules, which are easily reassembled upon arrival through a secure interlocking system. This solution not only lowers transport expenses—typically very high for products of this type but also simplifies storage and handling.
Compliant with all required banking protocols for purchase transactions, SUMMUW blends modern technology, reliability, and signature Italian design, developed entirely by WTD’s designers within the company’s long-standing joint-venture factories. The result is an elegant, robust, and user-friendly product line.
World Trade Display began conceiving this new series over a year ago, thoroughly designing it to offer a unique and innovative solution in the ticketing kiosk sector. SUMMUW further enriches the already wide range of display & digital signage solutions that WTD designs and markets directly, joining the prestigious MAC series and expanding the company’s portfolio in the ticketing and e-payment sectors. The result is an increasingly complete and competitive ecosystem of products capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving market.
